Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 Sep 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Siteseer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information related to our marketing website, waitlist forms, stakeholder interest forms, associated communication channels, and our platform and products, including the Sera AI assistant.

1. Information We Collect

  • Contact Data: name, email address, company, role, phone (if voluntarily provided).
  • Usage Data: pages visited, referrer, device/browser metadata, approximate region (via analytics).
  • Waitlist / Interest Data: product preferences, stakeholder category (developer, home owner, institution, investor, partner).
  • Technical Logs: IP (short-term for security and rate limiting), user-agent, error traces.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve the site experience and feature previews.
  • Respond to inquiries and manage waitlist onboarding.
  • Send operational or product updates (opt-out always provided).
  • Analyze aggregate engagement to prioritize roadmap and content.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse and debug performance issues.

3. AI Features & Model Improvement

Our platform includes Sera, an AI assistant that helps users work with their projects. Sera processes your messages and relevant project data through third-party AI infrastructure (including OpenRouter as a routing layer, and the underlying model providers it connects to, such as Google) in order to generate its responses.

With your organization's consent, conversation transcripts between your team and Sera may additionally be captured and used to evaluate and improve Sera's accuracy, including for fine-tuning. This is separate from, and in addition to, the processing needed to answer a question in the first place. Captured data is retained on our own infrastructure — it is not shared as a training dataset with the third-party AI providers named above, or with any other third party.

This is opt-out at the organization level: an administrator on your account can turn this off at any time from Settings → AI & Data. Opting out stops future capture going forward; it does not affect how Sera answers your questions, and does not require deleting your account or any other data.

4. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)

  • Consent (newsletter / waitlist opt-ins; AI training data capture, see Section 3).
  • Legitimate Interest (site analytics, security, product improvement).
  • Contract Pre-Entry (responding to partnership / stakeholder requests).
  • Compliance (record keeping, legal requests).

5. Cookies & Tracking

We may use lightweight analytics or performance monitoring tools. Where required, we will present a consent mechanism for non-essential cookies. You can adjust browser settings to block cookies; essential functionality may degrade.

6. Data Sharing

  • Service Providers: email delivery, infrastructure, analytics, AI/LLM providers (see Section 3)—bound by confidentiality and data processing terms.
  • Corporate Events: merger, acquisition, asset transfer (with notice where feasible).
  • Legal Requirements: to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights, investigate misuse.
  • No Sale: we do not sell personal information.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined or to meet legal/administrative obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. International Transfers

Data may be processed in jurisdictions with different protections. Where required, we implement safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect personal data during transfers.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (principle of least privilege, encrypted transit, restricted access). No method is fully secure; users should exercise caution when submitting information.

10. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, update or delete personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for communications, or for AI training data capture (Section 3), at any time.
  • Object or restrict certain processing (subject to applicable law).
  • Data portability (structured, machine-readable copy where applicable).
  • File a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Requests: contact us via the form on the site or provided email channel.

11. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect such data. If obtained inadvertently, we will delete it upon notice.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. A revised "Last updated" date will appear and material changes may be highlighted. Continued use indicates acceptance.

13. Contact

Questions or requests regarding this Policy can be submitted through our contact page or official communication email once provided.
